Quiz Show

Good Moooooorning America or as they say in Italy, BuonGiorno!  So, I am blogging at 6:30am.  Went to bed about 8:30pm after being up for more than 24 hours.  I brought my CMDA Cell phone, though useless as cellular, it makes a good alarm clock, calendar and address book!  So I set the alarm for 7:30 am, a good 11 hours of sleep.

So here's the Quiz Show Question for today's first blog entry.....

"To what melodious sound did Father wake up on his first day in the Eternal City????

a. Andrea Boccelli singing Ave Maria?
b. Puccini's classic, Dulicnea?
c. Luciano Pavarotti sining Turandot?
d. The harmonic sound of the many flocks of Roman Birds outside his window?
e. O'Canada?

Did you guess, O'Canada?  If you did you win a French Holiday in Quebec City!  Yes, Possums, that's right I awoke this morning to the rousing sound of a golden throated female Canadian pop star singing her rendition of the National Anthem of Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -------In Rome!  Well, technically, here at the Vatican, since that is where I was sleeping.

"O'Canada!  Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy command!
with glowing heart we see thee Rise!
The True North strong and Free!
O'Canada!"

So by now you you have guessed that my neighboring cell mate is the only Canadian priest in the house!!!  Yes, they like to keep us North American's together.  And if any of his countrymen need to know he is indeed a true patriot who loves his homeland because his alarm played the entire song loudly several times but alas it did not arouse him, no doubt his heart was sad to have left "True North".  O'Canada, I tell you his glowing heart did not rise because the rousing rendition was followed by the cellular phone alarm.  But his continental companion, yours truly, did arise to begin the day, O'Cananda!  You can thank our Canadian guest for an early posting today, O'America!!
